1945Willy Bäume (born 05.05.1906) establishes a wholesale trade for bakeries and grocery stores in the Vogtland region.

1948Acquisation of recipes and equipment for the production of flavours, pastes and food colourants from the tradesman Heinrich Karow.

1950 - 1959Developement of our inimitable Orange- and Lemon peel paste. Extension of the delivery area.

1969Change of corporate form into a private limited partnership.

1971Willy Bäume, the company´s founder, dies; his wife Thea continues the business.

1990 - 1991After the German reunification the production grind to a halt, but company´s owner Thea Schulke fights successfully for the continuity of the business. The sales volume and the demand for Karow products increase slowly but steadily.

1992Acquisition of the right to produce artificial honey.

ab 1993The original production areas and stockrooms are pulled down, they were new constructed or modernized.

ab 1994Intensified product design within the area of ice cream production.

1997Thea Schulke goes into retirement at the age of 61.Her daughters Steffi Bäume and Annette Hiller take over the business.

2002The demand for organic products increases and our organic Lemon paste gets certified within organic standards.

2005The presentation of our organic assortment on the most important organic fair trade BIOFACH in Nuremberg starts successfully.

2007We get DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 certified.

2008Our company´s 60-year anniversary! We celebrate and look back in history.

2009 Im Oktober erbringen wir den Nachweis, dass die Forderungen für die Zertifizierung nach DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 erfüllt sind.

2010We enlarge our assortment as reaction on the market´s demands.
